Lesson No. 1: You are your one and only teacher in life.

I just finished the book titled 'Tuesdays with Morrie', as recommended by my cursed boyfriend. Why cursed? Simply because he is so heartless to make me cry a liter of tears to the extent that when my mother opened my room, she asked me what happened. Oh my goodness. This book. Just the thought of Morrie dying is enough for tears to swell up in me. A leopard can't change its spots. Definitely. Acting aloof and devoid of emotions, that's the girl I am. Yet, I am still such an emotional girl. Fits the image of the me in your mind right, stupid xiong? Si imp, you win this time round.

Morrie, a great teacher to Mitch. Yes, I do agree that Morrie is wonderful. However, I strongly believe that Mitch is his own teacher in life. He teaches himself to open up his mind to all the teachings Morrie passed on to him, no?

When a teacher is going on and on about a subject you hate, take IT for example, in my case. Most of us simply switch off and let your mind visualise interesting images dancing in front of you. And so I realise. Listen, not hear. When you hear, you don't process the words that you have heard. When you listen, you process those words, understand it, and take action towards improving yourself.

I am a very lousy teacher. I taught myself many times to open up my mind, to accept things that others are trying to screw into that little stubborn brain of mine. Others could be the greatest philosophers, the best coaches/teachers in life. But unless you let your only teacher, the mind, guide you to the path of opening yourself up, you, will never learn.

Lesson No. 2 Success or Failure

This is a true story.
I was so in awe with this person Y. She seems so high up, a perfect career woman. She has 2 gifted children, one domestic helper, one enormous house, 2 cars.
One day, I told person X 'person Y, she just seems so wonderful, have everything that life offers'
Person X: 'Really? Me and Person A,B,C, finds that she is a failure in life'
Me: *Eyes ballooned. 'Kidding me? I think she is the most successful person I know of'

See the difference of Person X and I? We often prided ourselves on being really similar in character traits, crapping that it's because we are both Blood group O that's why we are so similar. LOL. Yea. Back to the point. How do you view success?
Do you find person Y successful? People around her, hates her. But of cos you could say. Aiya big deal? I bet they are just jealous of her possessing everything they crave for. But is that really the case?
On the route to moulding yourself to the image you see yourself to be, do you create negative energies around you?
Perfection, mediocrity?
No one is perfect, when humans arrive at the standard they set for themselves, they deem themselves as perfect. That's when they become a failure in life as they are what xiong says 'omg, turned-off'.
Mediocrity is still better, I figure.

Yes, I am mediocre. What makes me outstanding is the strong mother who works night shift to pay off my school fees, the strong father who works from 7am to 1030pm, literally, rain or shine, to put food on the table. The strong boyfriend, when I fuss and says 'I want to break up' so often, he says 'I will stay awake till you change your mind', and true to his words, he stay awake and was so miserable when he went to the army the next day.
Appreciate, love.
Coming to think again, I am mediocre in results, I sucks at my childish mentality, but I am above average when it comes to being accepted and loved.
Thankful for life.

Thankful for everything I have

TEN MONTHS ANNIVERSARY, and still as tough a relationship, as ever:)
Ten months. For the past months, he has endured all my random temper outbursts, my emotional breakdown, my hyper-depressive state. He has experienced jealousy, heartache, and of cos, happiness. My favourite xiong, we went through so much together for the past 10 months, even the explosive quarrels that nearly tore us apart. Looking back now, we got through all of it! Are you glad? I am, definitely!
This guy doesn't give up, he sure doesn't. Hey stupid guy, I admire your tenacity! DA BEN DAN.
The path ahead will be a smoother one, for sure :)
Not so smooth for my family though, with Dad recently losing his job. My sister asked me today, why not I don't go to university. I replied in a strong tone, that no matter what happens, I will get my ass through university. My heart, however, doesn't feel as strong.
On the way to get my TODAY newspaper and MY PAPER, I thought through a lot. On average, considering my [pay - CPF] when I worked at quest laboratory, using a diploma certificate, I earn $600/month after giving $300 to Dad and $300 to Mom. I don't think it's fair to them, to bring up a child for 20 years to receive a meagre $300 each. I may as well slog through another 4 years so that when the time come, I could double the amount they get per month?
Money is kind of my motivation to study now. I need the degree cert, I need to repay them, even though I know they asked for nothing. Give me just 4 years, I will get through it and even if they stop seeing me through, I will take bank loan and dun worry parent, no hard feelings whatsoever! :D
We will survive, all of us. Humans thrive on feelings for support. Feelings make or break a person, yes I experienced both the former and the latter. I am gonna use the feelings, care and concern that others have for me to propel me forward and one day, I will repay these people in my life by taking care of them forever.
I will be strong, don't worry about me.
Daddy says he is glad I can think for myself, then he dun have to worry so much for me.
Deeply touched, and yes, I won't be anyone's burden.

The definition of happiness.
I just read this storybook written by an 18 year old Malaysian author, titled 'Lethal lesson and other stories'. I applaud her style of writing, as well as the level of maturity of this 18 year old girl. Her definition of happiness is not the attainment of great success in life. It is not the happiness gained by material gifts from others, not wealth, not fame, but the simple things in life.
In a world where everything is advancing at such a rapid pace, many of us tend to perceive happiness as an entity that is thousand of miles away. We are chasing material gains, we are chasing success, and viewing them as the items we collect on the route to happiness.
I quote a friend of mine. She once blogged 'I worked so hard, studied so hard, in exchange for a few beautiful letters on my report card'.
On hindsight, I realised many of us indeed fall into the same category as her. Myself included. I am someone who study my butt off, chasing for Ace-s on my report card. Work my ass off, hoping to see an increase in the numerical sum printed on my bankbook, the next time I update it.
As I look back on my life now, I question myself. Was I truly happy? Yes, I was happy attaining the silver medal award. I am satisfied with the amount in my bank book. However, this happiness isn't all that long-lasting is it? At the end of the day, there is nothing solid to make me joyous about.
Who am I ? Smart, no. Not compared to Harvard graduates or the oh-so-many intelligent people out there. Wealthy? Please. More like, less than average. Beautiful? This could probably apply to me next life, if I do more good deed this lifetime.
So what is going to make me happy, I ask myself. Just then, an image of me doing what I want popped up in my mind. I shall not share it here. I have always pictured myself that way, but circumstances of life makes me pin this hope on others, instead of on myself.
Two things. I just have to do 2 things, and I can assure that I will be the happiest girl (soon to be 20yearold lady) !
My definition of happiness?
- Be what you see yourself to be.
Humans, go for it. Discipline to do something, is indeed the separating line between mankind and the beasts.
One day, I will smile, the deepest, truest smile from my heart. And that will be the time when I will state proudly. The day has come, and I am who I set out to be.

Today is my last day of work at Quest Lab TMC! I swear this job is the best, ever! Initially, I thought Xiao Ying is very fierce and unapproachable as she always looks so serious at work. As time passes, she slowly turns into my best friend at workplace and, being placed side by side at work, we start to have 'tai-tai' daydreams daily, and we laugh over every silly little things!
Went to Chinatown to have frog leg/fish porridge today, together with darling Xiao ying, Ms Yeong, Sylvia, Aason, Natalie and Jian Ming! Ahhhhhh they are such the sweetest human beings in existence! The frog leg porridge is absolutely delicious. Coupled with best company/best teammates/best friends, I would say, perfect is the word to describe today's outing!
I love Eunice and Meiting and Sayee and Auntie too! <3
They are what I would call, Colleagues turned great friends!

Yesterday, went chomp chomp with Jiahao, Cat, Andre, Sheena and Hennes. Amin joined us later for udders ! Chomp chomp prawn noodles aint that nice lei, duno why so many people claim that it is super nice. Oh well. We played cluedo and monopoly deal at udders and then went nex shopping! The guys were such spoilspots. Always staying outside the shop while cat and I went shopping.
You know. I totally appreciate this group of friends too. They are like what you would call, not losing contact after graduation de friends!! :)

Mood picking up, life picking up ! :D

I officially graduated today! :D Elated, jubilant, these are the words that best describe my feelings currently. The only regret is that I could not take photos in my graduation gown with my dearest boyfriend as he is in field camp now. I hope things are not getting too tough for him. It's ok we will always have a chance to take graduation pictures again, in university! :D I can't wait to go NUS with you, guy! :D

Looking back to when I first known that in BLT, only 2 person can clinch the medalist title. At that time, I was so aghast and I even wept in front of suktan and michelle during our little 'swimming session'. I was so sure that it couldn't be me. Yet I couldn't just let go of my dream to emerge from the three years of polytechnic education, with a medalist and a diploma with merit. By miracle? NO! It's not a miracle! With extreme hardwork, I managed to clinch this medalist award! I feel so happy and I am laughing at the me last time. Deciding my fate so early on, and not believing in myself. This taught me a lesson! If you want something in life, do not sit there crying for it. Fight for it. Fight to the best of your ability. Even if in the end, you do not get what you want, you will still have something in return. Strength, that's what you get in return isn't it? With every failure, people become stronger, more motivated. I failed in many things through this polytechnic life.

Two years ago, I was the only one out of my BMS-1M05 class being singled out by my IT teacher to stay back after class to repeat my IT test. At that point of time, I was really totally embarrassed and upset to be the only one having to repeat the test. Since then, I have been apprehensive about any IT modules I have to take later on. Then came Bioinformatics. I saw the 'informatics' part of the module and was instantly wary. Fearful indeed. Yet I did my best for it and even though I did not particularly excel in it, I am still proud of myself for not letting the fear of failure push me towards another failure.

People out there, do be positive and optimistic. Each and everyone of you have something special in you. Ignite that spark of passion and intelligence in you and do not be hurt by any setbacks. Never put a label of 'failure' upon yourself, for you will never know what will happen if you just try for it! :)

Alright, that's all!!! I just feel awesome now. And yes, I mean, AWESOME! :D

Hold it! Are you kidding me! Oh my Goodness, Jaclyn has done so well week after week, producing amazing and captivating photographs and all. Thomson Medical Centre is a wonderful place to work in, except when it gets really tiring/boring. I love the work environment as the people working in the lab are all super nice super friendly and easy to talk to. I think this is the first time during work, whereby I am able to converse to someone and truly enjoy talking to them, instead of trying hard to come up with a topic. In addition, Aason's presence helped a lot too :) Despite how I always tell him that I will never work with him again after FYP, now I realise that working with him is actually tolerable. Ok la not tolerable hehe, I would say it's marvelous to have a friend to lunch with you and slack with after lunch! AASON ROX!
Okay let's plan. My pay minus CPF and the sum given to my parents, I should still have $700 left. Sob sob so little.
1st pay shall be used to celebrate Bi's birthday ROAR ! I HATE YOU BI WHY YOU 21ST SO FAST! Old-till-cannot-urine-le-de-pig. & also to get my new specs!
2nd pay shall be saved up for next IT fair, netbook!! :)
3rd pay ... Ok .. hehe no more. Alright aiya plan le in the end all money will still become figures in my bank book de since I am such a stingy auntie according to Mr. Eugene Chua Pheng Jui.

Hi everyone! I am back from Batam! For the past 5 days, I would not say I have experienced hardship. No, no hardship at all, only heartache. As I witness the 94 children at St. Theresa Orphanage eagerly fighting for something that is so basic to all of us, a towel, I felt really upset. A towel. Everyone of us did not even think of anything when we use a towel day in day out, yet it is something so precious to them to have a new and clean towel. Seeing the condition of the toilets, the places they sleep in, their classroom in the day but sleeping area at night, it is truly heart-wrenching. I asked Catherine, didn't God make everybody equal? She has no answer to that as well.
As we are living in Singapore, the well-to-do country, sometimes, we take for granted all we have and constantly demand for better things. Say for example me, I always refuse to use MRT toilet, particularly in City Hall, and I would walk to Raffles Place just to use the toilet as it is more high class and clean. The people over at Batam, do not even have the luxury of enjoying the toilet which is as well-structured at the MRT toilet in Singapore. The toilets over there have no flush, no water to wash your hands after using the toilet.
It sux, it really do, to think that our neighbour, yes, Batam is just Singapore's neighbour. Yet the living condition is totally, extremely, different.
One of the kids over there asked Hilwah, as she shared, if Hilwah has mother and father. Despite the poor living conditions of the Orphanages, I feel that it's not the environment they care about most. It's the love, the parental love, that they really crave for. One of the orphanages I visit, Gracia, it's wealthy, it is huge. Another one, St. Theresa, the living condition is nothing compared to Gracia. But ask yourself, are the kids in there the same? Yes, they are to me. What's living condition to them, when the only love they truly require, which is parental love, is missing?
We often take our parents for granted, asking them for money to buy what we WANT and not what we NEED. And when they don't give us what we want, we sulk. We quarrel with them over the slightest of matters. To think of it, I am a failed daughter. Although the formal point does not sound like me as I hardly ask for money to buy what I want since I don't really want anything, the second point sounds extremely like me. I will learn from them, to always treasure every little thing in life, and not be so demanding and spoilt. I will return to St. Theresa's Orphanage in future, and bring them lots of things, most importantly, bring them my love! I hope the 51 of us made a difference in their life :)

Yesterday, I went Sentosa with my Xiong hubby and we went to the beaches!!! Lol it was so extremely fun, and thank god it wasn't raining as the thunderclouds were frightening, threatening to explode anytime! We took the boardwalk there and back, and the boardwalk is really beautifulllll!! Waiting for Xiong to pass me the pictures, I think I must wait forever since he is ahem. You know, super inefficient, as expected.
We build our pretty Cinderella castle and it was an epic success! :D Didn't know we are so talented in building sandcastles. We played with the seawater too, and being taller than me, he managed to splash tons of water into my eyes whereas gentle me couldnt manage to splash water into his eyes but well, I enjoy washing his hair with seawater anyways hehehehe :D
Outdoor activities are so fun! It feels like the earth is under our feet, and that guy, before we took the shower, he did not remind me to dry the undergarments and I forgot too. Then I felt soooooooooo cold throughout the dinner :(
I can't wait for another trip out! Next test for us: My batam trip and your stay-in camp :) I am sure we can past the test, like we did for all other tests (confinement, field camp etc etc.)

Anyways, yesterday, I was really contented as I get to hang out with darlings like Prin the nonsensical, Shir the lazy pig, Suk the cutie!!! (omg Suk is forever so cute!!! :D shir jealous), Xiong the idiot, Xian the stingy fish, and Priscilla!
They are such the great and wonderful bunch of people I super enjoy hanging out wif, for I can be myself, and I feel comfortable in my own skin when I am with them :)
It was such a fun time, and yesterday was one of the happiest day of my life, totally. I want to go out with these true friends again soon. OOPS and the bf too !

Ehs, as bf went home early to rest(bf sick still dragged out by monster me^^) and Xian sent his lovely Priscilla home, prin, shir, suk and sok went to the playground, which is our usual retreat and chatted! (till 12am) heheheh and suk said she will be making SUSHIS TODAY! Shall drop by her house later and kope some :) See, that's why i say suk forever so cute, cos got free food to eat. hehehe yummy yummy i am a glutton! :p

If I am rich, the first thing I want to do with this 'true friends + bf clique' of mine, is to go chalettttttttttt!!!! 24TH FEBRUARY=BLT GRADUATION !
I do miss quite a number of things, the DLM lecture theatre layout, the pot of vase I always sat beside during lectures, and the permanent seat which I took during common tests and exams.
I miss Ms Ong too! She is so nice and extremely motivational. I hope from the bottom of my heart that she does well in all her future endeavors!
I miss my very wonderful friends, yes friends, not classmates. I treasure 2 of them particularly. The 2 whom I enjoy confiding in, lamenting to, bitching to, and those 2are definitely my best friends in BLT !
Now that I have ended this phase of my life, I wish that further on, I would still have time to keep in contact with the treasured darlings I made in BLT20. Especially after I enter university.
I admit there were times I get super pissed off with some classmates, but there were those who can really make me laugh and cheeer me up. Among those are definitely Andre, Aason and crazy mutant gene! ah ha! I still remember I gave eugene this nickname mutant gene like 2 semesters ago? Feeling nostalgic :(

I am currently in hell, trying to keep my spirits UP!
14 more days to graduation, and I seriously seriously have nil idea how to study for VIVA. Well, wait till I finish lab management and mdx then I shall decide on how to study for my dear VIVA, as currently, my brain juice has been sucked DRY.

Bi says just treat VIVA like studying for O levels, but O levels, if I remember correctly, we do the 7 subjects on different days. VIVA = all modules from sem 2.1 to 3.2, all in one day. HALO? Ok. I know I should stop complaining and start mugging, but my brainnnnnnnnnnnnnnn :(((((((((((

The clock is ticking, time is running out. Motivation and energy? They are both running low.

Guess what! Recently, I attended the IAVE youth volunteer conference, together with Edna dear and I love the skills which I picked up over there. Even though there are certain details which I dislike, I find that it was a wonderful experience overall, both in the sense of making new friends and in the aspect of picking up new knowledge. :)

There are certain people who makes your day, and definitely people who makes you irritated to the extent that you just feel like strangling them. What sort of people do I hate most? None other than
1) Slackers/free-loaders
2) People with low EQ/NO EQ
okay just these 2 groups. Sometimes, don't you wish to have the ability to freeze time, so that you could slap some people? Yes I DO! :(

For the past few days, people close to me would have noticed that I am not exactly in the best of moods. Many things have happened recently, from people's constant scrutiny and skepticism, to the irritation that is constantly experienced when some people are just overly dependent.
First and foremost, I would like to say that for the past days, I really enjoyed the company of Aason and Andre. Having lunch with them and gymming with people whom you can relate to, it just feels different. It is wonderful to have somebody whom you feel comfortable talking to.

The fireworks at marina was indeed beautifulll yesterday ! I enjoyed it wif xiong and was totally stunned. We were very tired while waiting for the fireworks hence we went to sit at esplanade, well, we slept until 11.30pm before going out to the open space to camp for a seat and wait for fireworks! OOO by the time fireworks ended, marina was dam crowded and we had to squeeze and push. Thankful that xiong and me are both good squeezers but by the time we reach bedok, it was 1.40am! Still retarded. SOOOOOOOO super tiring lei.
Eh and there was blood on the ground of city hall control station, towards the funan side. I guess some mishap occurred along the way. Haix.

ALOHA TOUT LE MONDE!

Today, Shirlee, Jiahao and I went to cineleisure for our mini movie marathon, Gulliver's Travels followed by Rapunzel!!! Initially, I was extremely reluctant to watch Gulliver's Travels as I felt that it will be a waste of money as I did read the book before and it didnt particularly intrigue me. However, after watching Gulliver's Travels, I admit it is a great movie (then that shir started being so sarcastic and asking me how was the show) **sometimes, one can really hate shir to the core**

Rapunzel was a fantastic show too, like all other fairy tales. Well, some people said that this movie will have a twist. I expected the 'prince' to die, but well, he survived, which is good :) I am not a sadist la I just waiting for a twist! HAPPY ENDING MAKES ME HAPPY TOO!!

HEY everyone! Merry merry merry christmas to all of youuuuuu :)

This christmas is the BEST christmas in 19 years, of which i spent a whole day at sentosa wif ah dar! It was just purely fun! However, the big rain made us watch songs of the sea with a silly poncho and umbrella. Nevertheless, songs of the sea is still super amazing! I just love the fireworks and the lightings and this time round, there is even LIGHTNINGS to go with it! Even more beauuuuuutiful!!!!!!!!!!!! HEHEHEH I CAN WATCH SONGS OF THE SEA 10 MILLION TIMES AND NEVER GET SICK OF IT OKAY!

The 4D magix was sooooooo fun tooooo with the disgusting bats and bees flying out to me and also the water, real water that is, which splashes onto you ! SOO cool and so dam exciting and xiong bought a bag for me when i randomly said eh thats nice.

HEY! Common test is over! :D HEHEHE & Went to meet Shir, suktan and junxian darlings after common test at city hall!

Chatted with the three darlings at esplanade and it was definitely enjoyable to have the company of these three ! As it turns out, i did not prepare a card for darling xian as I didnt expect him to come. Hehe it's okay, i will mail it to him when I write finish a touching and perfect card:)

Suktan was saying to me that prin and her are very understanding and she don't blame me for allocating a huge proportion of my time for xiong. Well, I am indeed very grateful to have such wonderful friends. Despite my lack of time for them, they are still always always there for me. People like shir, suk, prin, xian. I know they are there for me, every happiness, tears, laments. I could definitely count on them to lend a listening ear. I know it's hard to have to juggle with many things on hand, and I will try my best to be there for every single one of you who cares, loves and dotes on me. I have a super fantastic chat with shir today as well. A chat that makes me reluctant to say bye to her, reluctant to go home. We just keep walking from her house to mine and from my house to hers and finally we parted at the traffic light:)
It has been so so long since I chat with this BEST friend of mine for seven long years. We have been through our ups and downs, yet the presence of her just makes me feel so comfortable. Friends are really a huge part of life, especially true friends whom you could trust with all your heart and soul. I am thankful for all of them.

This semester is indeed a horror for many of us. When Aason messaged me a few days ago, saying that he could not do it anymore, I must say I was not surprised at all. The notes are drifting away from science, far far away. I wonder if I could do well in modules that are hardly science related. Well, it's mostly about quality. Quality control, Quality assurance, Quality Management, Quality Improvement. Even my microbiology IM module is Quality control and Quality assurance. I guess my life revolves around high quality stuffs, at least from now till 24th Feb.

This semester, even super nerd sok is losing motivation and I feel so freaked out by MDC and Lab techniques. Endocrinology is fine.Urghhhhhhh jiu ming ah!

I really wish tomorrow is 25th February, then I could start on the new phase of life, and do things which I truly enjoy.

Thank god half a module (IM) is over, yes, I know there is still devil VIVA lingering around the corner. But yes, I still heave a huge sigh of relieve. Guess what? While doing the three IMs, something always pop into my mind. What is it? I always look back to the time when Edna, Eugene, Jeremy and I did the project which Dr. Lau gave to us, I guess it was in Semester 2.1, quite some time ago. And I will start to wonder, how good it will be if my group members will always be them. It's like, I only have to care about my part as I know overall, the project will still be perfect (ok, near perfect). That project was seriously the easiest project I have done in 19 years of my life. We just met once to rehearse in the morning before lesson commence, and we did great. I guess in a project group, as long as everyone's contributions are equal, it will turn out fine. But..................

Watched chronicles of narnia wif xiong yesterday after his return from field camp. Initially, I was quite doubtful that I will enjoy the show, as I didnt particularly enjoy the first 2 narnia movies. Well, I was pleasantly surprised by this movie though! It was indeed fantastic, in fact, it was one of the best movies I watched recently. But xiong slept through half the show. That retard. Still, I was glad that the moment he return from 5 and a half days of field camp, he immediately kept me company despite all the exhaustion he probably experienced yesterday.

I didn't really enjoy the show 'Confessions'. In fact, I find it really draggy as it was about a teacher who wants to take revenge. She took revenge for so long, for the entire movie. I just find it hmm.. Not really intriguing.

To people who know me, you will also know that I am those kind of people who will say 'aiya nvm lar' 'oh ok nvm' I can be nonchalant to everything just as long as they do not directly concern me. To me,the more you care about things, the more you will be affected by things which on hindsight, is actually not that important.

And honestly, I totally can't be bothered by this person hate that person and what not. Well, just like my friends (hmm I forgot who said that), but it is really true. Sok Chin is in her own world. Yes :) Jackpot! I am in my own world with a wall that is built of bricks. I have to slowly cement the brick wall one by one. Hence, the lazy sok choose to just build a very small wall (4-sided wall) and obviously, the limited space in my 4-sided wall can accommodate very few people. Having said this, what I am trying to imply is that, I only pay attention to the selected ones. Else, whatever you say, my ear will just auto shut down, like what cat have used to describe me. 'a sponge, water goes in, totally squeezed out' True, I am selective, as I don't want to be burdened by useless and unnecessary stuffs :)

Beautifully decorated shells. Would people prefer to be a beautifully decorated shells but have no internal content, or a plain shell with substance? Or both?

Of course both is the best, but it is just plain difficult to be both. Along the path of life, don't people always try hard to gain titles for themselves? Each title is just like a slab of paint, coloring yourself up, making yourself seem/feel superior. But well, you slowly will realise the emptiness success can bring, no? It is like the more you try, the more you know you are sacrificing some things important in life. For example, fun and happy moments with your loved ones. I definitely feel upset to not have enough time with them (family, friends, boyfriend). It's indeed hard to juggle. Neglect* The most hated word.

I know, sacrifice is necessary. But somehow.. Well.. it really can't be helped right.. I can only hope.. :(

This place. It's so isolated, away from the buzz of the world. I felt so relaxed and calm over here. It is really amazing that such places still exist in singapore. Although I went there to feed mosquitoes, it was still a great experience! I love to see those people over there cycling around and swatting flies, like they have no troubles in life at all.
Like my mom, who always play the 'pressing ant' game on the iPad, looking so childish and idiotic and adorable, despite being half a century old. I really think that if people are not so burdened by knowledge, work, stress, they be truly much more happier?

But well, generally, I am beyond contented to have a wonderful mommy daddy jiejies gorgor friends and him. Yesterday went to MBS with him. Wa. I havent ceased enjoyment for soooooo soooo long. Went to the Australia open house with Hilwah, Cat and Kiahow yesterday. It is upsetting to hear the representative of UNSW saying that all australia universities do not accept Diploma students. UTAS is so much better, despite the requirement of a first degree, the representative assured me that I will be able to receive a scholarship for the first degree. Hence, I applied for UTAS.
Hopefully, and I believe, I will work hard for this dream, this goal.
I miss my friends, the 3 of them, so so much.
And I am contented to have Cat as WISP partner and Cat, Amin and Eugene as teammates!

I am currently beyond elated. Ended two more sections of polytechnic life, namely polyclinic attachment and MDC attachment. 6 more modules before completion of my long polytechnic journey. Yes, time, pass faster! Can't wait to move on! Next phase, FYP which will start again next Monday. URGH it never seems to end, but I know I am counting down to 28 OCTOBER, the end of FYP!!!!

Job options. Throughout the various attachments and being to NUH, TTSH, AMK POLYCLINIC, MDC LABORATORY & KKH, I find that the environment I love most is still NUH. I will definitely not work in MDC lab, it's just not for me. Hence, I have decided that I will work either in bone marrow lab, blood bank, or microbio lab of NUH once I graduate! These are the areas I enjoy most le.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM ok la that's all! SIX MODULES.

OKAY! I am posting this on sunday,10.59am. The Blog's timing is creepily off, so ignore it!

Yesterday, Sat, had make-up polyclinic attachment (So far, it has been 3 days and I only took blood from one patient. Pathetic, I know). Felt rather dejected. The good thing was, I saw Mr. Silva at the polyclinic! Sort of lifted my mood 10%. Next, sweetie xiong said after my work, he will pei me anywhere I wanna go. This lifted my mood 50% and then received kiahow's sms that cat and him was outside my polyclinic waiting for me to go for lunch together. This lifted my mood 40%! Hence, a frown turned into a great smileeeeee! HAHAH

We went for lunch together(cat, xiong, jiahao & I) followed by arcade(cat left first to meet her friend). HAHAH Ah Xiong spent at least $10 on arcade-ing with me! Lovely guy! Then it was movie time. Xiong and I watched Going the Distance. He is soo soo pervertic. LOL! I kept trying to cover his eyes during certain scenes but he keep brushing away my hands!! Stupid guy. HAHAHA I think I slapped him 10 times during the movie!

YAY!! And Friday was beach time!! Sat on the boulder with lovely xiong and saw 2 cockroaches. Since when did east coast become infested with creepy crawlies? Or is it because of him that I am down on luck? Then we walked bare-footed on the sand when he kicked sands all over my beautiful legs.! hahahah the sad thing is, that night has no stars, no moon even! & NO WIND!!

Let me share some thoughts with you. Attended a super meaningful talk 2 days ago. This is what part of it's content requires us to do:
If there is 1 person you could save, will you choose to save
1) A 60-year old surgeon or
2) A murderer facing a death sentence?
Naturally, all of us chose number 1. Well, then the person giving the talk, he said:
"how would you know the 60-year old surgeon may be a very selfish person who only perform surgeries for the super wealthy? And how would you know the murderer is not someone who committed murder in an attempt to protect her child from something? There is always some prejudices in this world, some points where people will play god and choose to think in a particular way. Before you judge others, let go of all the prejudices you know you have, somewhere inside you."
Aint that great! Although its a 2 hour talk, but i am highly enlightened by it towards the end of the day.

Motivation to continue studying: Do not look at how much notes you have left, look at how much you have covered! HAHA same motivation I use for running. I have completed 1/3 of the stack of notes. I can do it, definitely.

Hanging out time with darling shir yesterday was just simply fantastically refreshing! I love this gal to MARS!

I am flying to the moon now! Completed French final test, meaning french 5th semester completed! & bioinformatics is also done(for the test)! Lesser work load now, hoorayyyyyyyyyyy! Yes, i know i will not perform up to my expectation, however i can say i have really put in my best efforts. Hence, regardless of the result, i will neither lament nor feel upset. It's all i can give, nothing more, nothing less.

:D One more SUPER happy point to note - LIMJIANXIONG is going to treat me MACDONALDS tonight! I am so gona eat until he bankrupt. OOOOO I love MACDONALDS SO SO SO MUCH!!

and today after lectures, went buona vista shopping with Cat, followed by running with jianxiong and catherine at bedok reservoir! Invited Cat to my house to put her bag and lappy b4 going to JX house for him to change.
Right. i cant believe it! that xiong actually wanna share an apple! yucks disgusting guy.
-.- And my leg cramped thrice during the run and twice when i bathe.
Treated cat to ice-creams from my house! Was 10pm by the time i arrive home!

2) BIF presentation= 6th August.
3) BIF test=30th July.
4) French test=22nd and 29th July.
5) 60 tutorial questions (5 done)= 11th August.
6) Examination= 23rd/25th/27th august & 7th September.

Shall play with fireworks once semester ends! Gosh freaked to the max.

Blood pledge is nice ! First ghost movie that made me jumped so high! & towards the end of the movie, it was really touching. I am sure baby shir agrees with me. Guoyi said there would be guts spilling out. Turn out, there wasnt even a single piece of gut. And that stupid bear kept yawning during the show. Idiotic.

HAHA today's lecture by Dr Tan was so hilarious! If 10 of us get Acute leukaemia, only one of us will survive and she pointed to me. Aason said then the world will end. LOL obviously because he is upset that he cannot survive. Poor partner. Green-eyed monster.

I saw Junxian today when I went outside the lecture theatre. Asked him join my lecture but he too shy! So I let him off since I was severely high-tide at that moment in time. Shir I saw jx lei! Jealous????????

YAY dinner + watch movie session with SUKTAN, SHIRLEE AND LIM CUNNINGBEAR todayy!
We were supposed to watch the 9 Temples. However, the tickets were all SOLD OUT AGAIN!! This is incredibly tough luck. Tried to watch that movie TWICE already. Hence, we watched the 9.05pm movie 'Predators' instead. Not really my type of movie. The cunningbear said next time we should challenge watch blood pledge see who more scared. Bring it on cunning bear!
The dinner. I really really really dun really like it as well. It is not spicy at all!!! I find it more salty than spicy. URGH so upset.
For today, I think only the time spent with suk, shir, and cunningbear is GOOD! other than tat. ahem! upsetting.

& YA ! suk u better ask me for the YOG SP event. I want the free shirt!!

After lectures, went Tamp gym with Tracee, Michelle & Guoyi! Then went for pizza hut. That Trace and Mic ar! PPL running they stand beside me. So sickening hahaha and luckily I still managed to chase them away eventually. & Trace was complaining the 2kg dumbbell is very heavy.
-.- I love this complain queen. Hey u all cant imagine how much she can complain. Feedback form, she can write one whole page, practically like writing an essay! That was during sec school, and i bet this gal brushed up on her complaining skills already. Anyways, BBQ chicken pizza is fantastic!!!!!!!!!!! GY not enuf money so i lent him $2.50. Counting 10% interest per day, by next tuesday when we meet up again, he will be paying me $4.50. HEHE easy money.

Next tuesday will be watching Thai voted scariest ghost movie!

Met suktan at 7pm under my house today and walked at orchard/somerset till 1030pm. Gosh we walked for 3 and a half hours non-stop and I am honestly mega proud of myself for knowing how to walk to singapore visitors centre from orchard. BTW, we went to the visitors centre to find dear prin, who is currently working there. Thought we might wait for him to go home together, but suk and I were really horribly tired and decided to go home first. Glad for Prin's understanding.

Suk & I really had a hard time finding the MRT from somerset though, sighs.
Looking forward to meeting maria, tracee and suk tomorrow, and the swimming and movie coming friday!

Yesterday after exam, went out with Shir baby to watch karate kid, which is absolutely cool and fabulous and makes me wanna learn kungfu! And we went to meet suktan, prin, junxian, & shaun after the movie! It was secret recipes' time. & walked here and there, chatting high and low. It was followed by a further chatting session back at bedok playground, with suk, shir and prin. We chatted till midnite and it was so scary going home. But it was horribly funny too, with shir going totally mad acting all hiphop. So disgusting. hahahaha no la! my gal so cute!

And today was zootime. I slept at 3am yesterday nite and woke at 6.15am today for zoo. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cooool I really love the zoo sia! & juz like shir said, the white tiger kept walking left and right. Gosh but I managed to see the white tiger swim as well. Zoo ROCKS BIG TIME.

Gracious! Orchard Road is flooded and I am at home studying. How I wish I could witness it. Sighs.
2 more days b4 freedom. I just spent 5hours on the 'Inherited coagulation disorders' note by Dr.Ng and I am still not done yet. This totally reminded me of last semester, when I spent 9 freaking hours studying for the 25 pages 'Autoimmune hemolytic anaemia' and no questions came out from that note. None at all. I clearly remember it is 25 pages as every page I flip, I cheered that it is nearing the end!

Alright, time to check for the timing of karate kid on friday! Shir, I will tag the timing on ur blog tagboard k!

I absolutely love the beachhhh & zoo and anything to do with nature! okay I am so STRESSED NOW. I wish there is a beach just outside my house. The smell of nature, boundless nature without ugly stupid manmade things, the wonderful natural environment, the perfect fragrance.. OOOOOOOOOO just imagining it seems to take away my stress!!!!
okay. I shall get married on the beach in future. & shir & suk shall be my sexy beach babes bridesmaid.
